This has to be one of the great book to movie translations ever done. No disrespect to Stephen King's short story, but the movie just goes light years beyond what the book achieves in terms of making you care about the characters.
It's a close call, but I think the movie does a better job than the book when it comes to making the hairs on your skin stand up. A great screen play perfectly rendered by Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins goes a lone way.
